How to create AWS Account - Day 5

Hello and welcome back to our #100DaysOfAWS series! In this fifth blog, we're revisiting an essential topic that's crucial for beginners and newcomers to AWS: creating your AWS account.

Before we dive deeper into the exciting world of Amazon Web Services, it's imperative to start with the basics. Whether you're new to AWS or just need a refresher, creating your AWS account is the foundational step on this journey. So lets get started with signing up into AWS.

1. Go to the URL https://aws.amazon.com/free/

2. Click on Create a Free Account. Type the valid Email address, password and desired AWS Account name. Click on Continue.

3. Select the Account Type as a Personal and fill in the other required details. Read and accept the terms of the AWS Customer Agreement . Click on Continue.

4. Next step is to provide the billing information. Once all the details are entered, click on Verify and Continue.

5. Once the verification is complete, you will get a OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and you will be charged for Rs.02/- INR. Once the validation is complete, you will get this money back in couple of days.

6. Next confirm you identity by entering a registered mobile number and click on Send SMS.

7. You will receive a verification code on your mobile. Enter the 4-digit verification code and click on Verify Code.

8. Next step is to select the support plan. Choose the Free Basic Plan.

9. Once you completed all the above steps you’ll get the confirmation page as below.

10. Once the account is processed, you will also receive an email from AWS.

11. By clicking on Access Account, you will be redirected to below page. Enter the root user email address and click on Next.

12. Enter the Captcha as seen and click on Submit.

13. Enter the password for your root account.

14. You will now be logged into your account.

That's it. You've now successfully created Free AWS Account.
